What is eSIM? Can I use eSIM too?

What is eSIM?

eSIM is an electronic SIM card, which is a data file that can be downloaded to mobile devices via the network. With it, various electronic products can connect to the internet, make calls, send text messages, and more. Functionally, it is no different from a regular SIM card. Any device that can access a mobile network can use eSIM, provided that the device's hardware supports eSIM. The eSIM solution integrated into hardware or mobile phones currently occupies only 1/3 of the space of a Nano SIM card and will evolve towards even smaller sizes in the future.

Pros and Cons of eSIM:

Advantages:

- No need to insert or remove physical cards, just set up on the device to switch eSIM.

- eSIM does not require a card slot, saving device space and helping to design thinner and lighter devices

Disadvantages:

- Currently, devices that support eSIM are mainly iPhone and Google Pixel, and some older models may not be compatible.

Fast and convenient

Not fast, not convenient

Travel Abroad

Ready to use immediately

Purchase cards in-store in advance

In terms of functionality, there is actually no difference between the two. Whether it's transmission, network quality, or speed, there will be no difference due to these two factors. When it comes to convenience or being trendy, you will always choose the latter : )
